About Marie A. Krousel-Wood, MD
Dr. Krousel-Wood is physician scientist and academic leader at Tulane University in New Orleans. She received her medical from Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans and holds a Master of Science in Public Health in epidemiology and biostatistics from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She completed residency training in General Preventive Medicine at Tulane University and is a diplomate of the American Board of Preventive Medicine.
She is actively engaged in clinical research, has over 90 peer-reviewed publications and reports, is the PI on NIH-funded career development award and site PI on clinical trials. She has held numerous leadership positions nationally including standing member and Chair of the National Institutes of Health Study Section, Health Services Organization and Delivery, President of Delta Omega national public health honorary society, member of the Board of Regents for the American College of Preventive Medicine, trustee of the American Board of Preventive Medicine, and member of the National Institutes of Health Center for Scientific Review (NIH-CSR) Advisory Council.
With a longstanding commitment to the SSCI, she serves on its Council, is chair of the Publications Committee, and is currently President of the SSCI 2015/2016.
